We’d like to introduce you to Berlin’s new electro-pop wunder-kid Thomas Azier whose ‘Hylas 001 EP’ was just released this week. ‘Metropolitan Tribe’, our favorite track from the EP, is a deft exercise in youthful abandon with equal parts great songwriting and rhythmic synthetic arrangements.
After spending the past 4 years tirelessly honing his sound, exploring the inherent power of pop and its ability to transcend, communicate, and affect on mass, Thomas Azier’s new EP is both nostalgic, and current; revisiting the sparkle and magic of the genre, so often ignored in the post-internet music era. The 24-year old multi-instrumentalist is now working on his own debut album, which will be following ‘Hylas 001’.
