Clever, spunky, mischievous yet not too irreverent to be cool. Messy and downright sexy, The Sutras deliver a brew, taste-tested to perfection, with a spacey distant vibe. The band's complex, psychedelic arrangements, harmonic complexity, and melodic sensibilities take you somewhere hauntingly familiar without being a simple rehash of various classic rock eras. This is the sound of vintage guitars, Moogs, tube amps and phasers, sampled Baptist preachers, and all night naked freak outs.
