We’ve got two songs for you to share from Austin TX’s Trey Brown direct from his new album ‘Trey Brown & Mission Dorado’ featuringAustin Jenkins of White Denim on Guitar.

Trey Brown & Mission Dorado is an uncompromising show of original voice, message, and style that navigates its way through an un-touched, mystical desert. "The desert is open and bare, but there is also a hidden layer of beauty and mysticism which isn't based on human progress, but a picture of our existence. I t doesn't invest in superstition, it doesn't invest in luck..."

“Brown continues to awaken to a range that most artists cannot aspire" - Austinsound.net

To describe the sound of "Trey Brown & Mission Dorado" as anything but a mashup of myriad genres (indiecosmo-folk-alt- country?) would be a disservice although the record still manages to capture a uniquely consistent tone and movement. From richly layered guitar and symphonic landscapes to simple and arresting blues, Brown continues to "awaken to a range that most artists cannot aspire" (Austinsound.net).

These ten original compositions were produced and recorded in a matter of days, all captured on 2" analog tape in their uncut, untampered form. The band also pressed this collection of songs to 180 gram vinyl to give fans an especially intimate listening experience. Brown took the same care in selecting his crew - he hooked up with creative producer Bill Baird (Sunset, Sound Team), guitarist Austin Jenkins of White Denim, local recording engineer Grant Johnson, the Tosca String Quartet, and filmmaker Victor Moyers (Echotone, Skateland) to create a refreshing work of artistic integrity.
