Ira Atari made it. She enriches the Audiolith cosmos with a female view on things that bother and shake us. Her self-chosen way of performing between mainstream & indie, club & pop, deepness & fun, inside & outside. And what’s more, Ira Atari and her songs are also appreciated beyond the Audiolith sphere. The gay scene sat up and took notice and suddenly (finally) there were considerably more female fans at Ira Atari’s concerts. As such it is only logical that she cultivates her balancing act between the worlds on “Shift”. Besides, she turned in the first Audiolith release ever that holistically deals with the issues love and relationships, on a personal level as well as generalised in the spirit of pop music. So You and You and me can find ourselves in her music when we’re sliding through the day with her songs on our lips.

Most songs were written in collaboration with Ja!kob (part of Frittenbude/Audiolith records). So soundwise the songs are rooted in the dance-crazy Here and Now and they are in no way inferior to Ira Atari’s and Ja!kob’s debut single “Disaster”, one of the best-liked songs on the Audiolith compilation “Doin’ Our Thing’ from August 2009.
And as she is as real as everything else that orbits planet Audiolith you probably better just ask her yourself.
